October & November 2025
What I was up to in October & November

October was packed with setting up our Halloween party decorations. Our theme this year was Murder in Margaritaland from Night of Mystery and it was amazing! Turning our garage into a tiki lounge was quite the undertaking. I have been collecting pieces for months to pull everything together, and in the end it was a great space. We are actually a little sad to take everything down this year and put it off for an extra couple weeks so we could entertain family and friends in the space a few more times. Of course November is filling with all the clean up from the party and organizing what to hold on to for future parties.
Knitting has defiantly been taking a back seat over the past few weeks. I am continuing to work on my Melange sweater when I need something simple to work on. I finally finished the body of stockinette stitch and am starting the sleeves. I started my gift knitting for the season so most of my other projects are tucked away for awhile. I am excited to be working on Paul & Babe by Brenda K. B. Anderson for my kids and making my kids and their cousins ribbed beanies and The World's Simplest Mittens by Tin Can Knits. Thankfully the hats and mittens are working up quickly. We have been having a hard time finding hats and mittens that are just the right size and it is getting cold out. I am hoping that after all the clean up and catch up on other house things that I will finally have time to block and photograph some finished objects to share next time.
